Now, at Giant World Telecom, you can extend reach into new markets with Global DID (DID-Direct Inward Dial) which enables companies to cost-effectively add local numbers in a variety of international locations, giving businesses immediate presence where they need it. For example, a customer in Sweden can dial a local number to reach your headquarters in New York. Or, a US customer can call a local number to reach your English-speaking call center in India. Giant World’s Global DID allows you to set up a presence in any of the countries where Skype provides Skype-IN & none Skype-IN numbers (thru Giant World’s local conference bridge system). As a result, your customers can dial your local phone numbers, while you save on Toll Free/800 expenses.
How it works
Giant World’s IP PBX Exchange is connected to the office IP PBX gateway or Exchange, via analog FXS/FXO, digital T1/E1 or SIP interface. The company purchases Skype-IN numbers from Skype for the countries that they want a local presence in. Customers can call the local Skype-IN numbers in these countries to contact the company. Calls are sent thru Skype over the Internet to Giant World’s IP PBX gateway or Exchange, which automatically routes the call to other company’s IP PBX, grounding it to local calls in their system. Now, it becomes a convenient local call for the customer in that country and a free Skype-to-Skype call for the company, which can be forwarded through a local phone number creating mobile to mobile call.
